want more joy? answer these seven questions

What if I told you that seven journal prompts can increase the amount of joy you experience in your life? It’s worth a try, right??

Human Design is a tool to help us go inward, to connect with the true essence of who we came here to be in this lifetime.  It is a system that can support personal growth through the practice of awareness.  By operating our day to day in alignment with our unique gifts, we have the ability to transform our visions into manifest form.  Human Design is a synthesis of multiple ancient modalities like astrology, the Chinese I Ching, the Hindu chakra system, the Kabbalah tree of life.  The lineage of Human Design that I study and practice also incorporates the philosophy of Quantum Physics.  

My study of Human Design for the past five years has allowed me to understand that this system is a tool to support my personal growth and expansion.  It is a tool to help me release limited conditioning and step into my true, powerful essence.  It is a tool to help me create a life full of joy.  Human Design is the study of our unique and individual energetic gifts.  It acknowledges individuality and recognizes that we are each here to live out the full expression of our beautiful, once in a lifetime selves.  This practice is about removing any limited belief that has been learned, so that we may contribute as fully expressed, unique, and talented.  I am five years into this experiment, and I am still learning how to fully live in energetic alignment (and still unlearning my conditioned beliefs).  Growth and expansion are a lifelong journey, and both are available when we choose.    

Each of us has a distinct and unique energetic blueprint of how we are designed to exchange energy with the world around us.  Each of us is a miraculous, once in a lifetime expression.  Each of us are here to share our gifts.  Each of us has exactly what we need, innately, to bring our desires into manifest form.  

Human Design is a practice.  Learning about our design is the first step (and feels more like and acknowledgment of an inner knowing versus a discovery of something new).  Embodying the wisdom of our own unique way to exchange energy is the process.  My method is to share practical ways to increase awareness around what is out of alignment and shift into living with more peace, satisfaction, and success.  I have clients who use their Human Design practice in all aspects of life- career, relationships, parenting, business, entrepreneurship, living spaces/ environments.  Where there is a vision or desire, Human Design can help bring that vision to life with ease and joy.

I have created a week of journal prompts to support you in discovering how Human Design can support you in tapping into your own joy.  My suggestion is to answer one question per day, so that you can intentionally connect with soul.  Allow for free writing, with no limiting or editing or holding back… there is no need to share this writing with anyone (unless you want to!), it is a safe space for you to be unfiltered-you.

  • What is the meaning of joy?  How would you define joy, if you hadn’t previously been taught what it is?

  • What does joy FEEL like to you?  Where do you experience it in your physical, mental, emotional body?  (be mindful of really answering this question with how you FEEL when you experience joy.  Some examples are, my chest and heartspace are open and the pressure dissolves, my breath is deep, my mouth and eyes are smiling.  Resist the urge to answer with something like, I feel like a meadow full of wildflowers.  That is a vision of what may bring you the experience of joy, it is not how you experience joy in your physical body.  This can be a tricky one to answer, but I believe in you so deeply.  Tap into your body and sense how you FEEL) 

  • In what aspect of life are you longing for more joy?  

  • What limiting belief have you been taught about joy?

  • What circumstances/ relationships/ activities/ environments/ brings you the experience of joy?

  • How often do you experience the feeling of joy, in your physical body, during a typical day?

  • What environments allow you to feel the most alive?
